Program overview
Conservation Vietnam's Strategic Direction Program reviews and supports projects with the potential for long-term impact aligned with the Fund's core strategic priorities: conservation of endangered species and threatened ecosystems, capacity building for conservation organizations, and strengthening law enforcement in nature conservation.
Since 2023, the program has run two rounds of project proposals (2023–2025 and 2025–2027), supporting initiatives across multiple localities and priority landscapes nationwide. Future investment rounds will continue to expand to provide flexible resources for emerging conservation needs and urgent challenges facing Vietnam's nature.

Conservation Vietnam is honored to support the journey bringing 20 Vietnam Pheasants (Lophura edwardsi) from Europe back to Vietnam, marking an important milestone in recovering a species extinct in the wild. This work is part of a Conservation Vietnam-funded project implemented by VinaConserv, aimed at building a sustainable population for the future.
